Project idea

I tried to find out what to do for my final project and this is what I worked on:

It turns out I can not make an exhibition and work for my Guitar Society at the same time, but this is life..

Joshua Davis - Web Interactivity

I really like the ideas this guy have. Here is a short description about him:

Joshua Davis (born June 13, 1971) is an American designer, technologist, author and artist in new media.
He is best known as the creator of praystation.com, winner of the Prix Ars Electronica 2001 Golden Nica for "Net Vision / Net Excellence”. He was an early adopter of open-source software, offering the source code of the praystation.com composition and animation developments to the public.

He basically made art an designs from breaking program codes. This is some of his work:

The Importance of Helvetica


Do you recognise Helvetica when you see it? Do you understand its importance? If you don't, I didn't either. 

Bauhaus

The Bauhaus was founded by Walter Gropius in Weimar. The German term Bauhaus—literally "construction house"—was understood as meaning "School of Building", but in spite of its name and the fact that its founder was an architect, the Bauhaus did not have an architecture department during its first years of existence. 






Type playtime

Today I learned how to use Type faces in InDesign, how to place dummy text and how to change colours of the text.

Barney Bubbles

My presentation was on Punk - Barney Bubbles. I was impressed about this man's work. Once I started research his life I fell in love with the way he expressed himself thru graphic design.
I was shocked to have 10 tabs open with his work, but even though all of them were his, you couldn't tell that it was the same mind for all of them. They were so different!!
